Customer Testimonials
I am 70years old and have suffered from lower back pain, off and on, since 1980. I have been referred to a number of physiotherapists but none have been able to solve my problem completely. Following knee replacements due to osteoarthritis, my back pain returned pretty much constantly.
On the recommendation of a friend, I saw Gaynor Kunneke. She assessed me and then provided hands-on treatment and a regime of exercises to do at home. The exercises were completely new to me.
I can truly say that her treatment coupled with the exercises have transformed my life. For the first time, I am without back pain. I now also exercise at my local gym. Gaynor is extremely knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Thank you Gaynor for the help you have given me.
We tried various approaches over 3 months to heal his hand but each time he used it in boxing, or sparring, it would flare up. It became so inflamed and swollen that eventually he could no longer put his glove on.
He was devastated that he would have to give up boxing. A neighbour of mine suggested we make an appointment with Gaynor. From Jack’s first appointment, it felt like she performed a miracle!
I am now 94 years old, still maintaining my own home and housework and, until this year, have maintained my garden which is my favorite hobby. I honestly believe that without Gaynor’s professional help, support and care I would not be in the independent position that I am, still enjoying life!!Thank you so much Gaynor for all your help.
It only took a further 3 visits to Gaynor, along with the homework she advised, to completely cure my sciatica and 2 years on have had no recurrence. I would love an excuse to re-visit Gaynor again!
I went to see Gaynor after suffering debilitating lower back and sciatic pain for six weeks. I was having problems sitting and sleeping. Gaynor diagnosed the problem and applied gentle manipulation, stretches and massage. She also gave me posture advice along with corrective exercises. The results were fantastic.
After visiting Gaynor weekly for six weeks, the pain has disappeared and I have been sitting and sleeping normally. I appreciated both Gaynor’s knowledge and ability to explain the nature and cause of my problem. She is friendly, approachable and is really interested in you as an individual, as well as being extremely professional. Thank you so much, Gaynor.
Problems with my walking led to a diagnosis of osteoarthritis and a cyst on my knee. I was in considerable pain. Doctors prescribed painkillers, but these gave only limited relief. I received steroid injections in the knee, but these did not work at all.
Through an introduction by a family member, I arranged an appointment with Gaynor. She immediately put me at ease, asked questions about my health and examined my knee. After some massage and manipulation, she gave me three easy home exercises and advised on the painkillers to take. Seven days later, the pain and the swelling had reduced considerably.
I had five appointments at weekly intervals. At the second, I agreed to have acupuncture and was amazed at the difference it made. A previously arranged hospital visit revealed I had osteoarthritis of the hip. I discussed this with Gaynor who extended the range of massage and manipulation to my hip.
Progress was amazing and by week five I was no longer taking painkillers and walked unaided.
I do need to continue my exercises but the effort pays off. Gaynor has given me back my independence and I told her ‘you are worth every penny’.
I went to see Gaynor for osteopathic help when I developed a problem with my right shoulder and arm. I had pain across my shoulder and down my arm, extending into my fingers. This restricted my ability to use that arm without great discomfort. The problem was worse at night when the pain seemed to intensify and I was unable to sleep.
Gaynor diagnosed a trapped nerve in my neck (where I had felt no pain!) and worked on my neck, upper spine and shoulder. She also gave me some easy exercises to do at home, suggesting that I use a cold pad on my neck for short periods during the day.
Gaynor worked her magic and gradually the pain diminished and then disappeared. She has a reassuring and calming manner, she listens and is sympathetic to the individual needs of her patients.
